It was a very exciting night. I had the great fortune of having a rehearsal in Harlem that evening and then driving through Times Square around 10:30pm. Talk about revelry. It was complete madness - but a heightened happy madness… just delighted madness of joy. It sounds bad but it really is a good thing!

85% of NYC voters voted for Obama. You could definitely feel it that night. It was like Mafeking had been relieved, I swear.

Today's Deep Thought
- As the evening sky faded from a salmon color to a sort of flint gray, I thought back to the salmon I caught that morning, and how gray he was, and how I named him flint.
