It was a very exciting night. I had the great fortune of having a rehearsal in Harlem that evening and then driving through Times Square around 10:30pm. Talk about revelry. It was complete madness – but a heightened happy madness… just delighted madness of joy. It sounds bad but it really is a good thing!
85% of NYC voters voted for Obama. You could definitely feel it that night. It was like Mafeking had been relieved, I swear.
